Welcome to the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and London's Violence Reduction Unit application portal

MOPAC exists to support the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime to fulfil their responsibilities in overseeing the work of the Metropolitan Police Service - setting the priorities for policing and community safety in London, agreeing the policing budget and holding the Met Commissioner to account. Together, we work to deliver the Mayor’s Police and Crime Plan and make London a safe city for all.

London’s Violence Reduction Unit is a team of specialists who bring people across London together to better understand why violence happens and to take action to prevent it now, and in the long-term. Our approach is rooted in prevention and early intervention and we are a champion and a voice for young people and communities across London. We believe in the importance of education and being in school, and we’re invested in providing both support and positive opportunities for young people, working with communities to give them the tools and resources to deliver change where they live. We believe violence is preventable, not inevitable.

Both organisations oversee the distribution of London Crime Prevention Fund allocation to boroughs
